Lee Myung Bak to take stern action

South Korean President Lee Myung Bak said he will “deal sternly with the results” of the Cheonan inquiry.  The Korea Herald reports.

South Korea have considered taking action against North Korea through the United Nations Security Council, if the North are found to be responsible for the sinking of the naval frigate Cheonan.  The Korea Times Reports.

The South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and opposition parties of South Korea at a press conference at the “National Assembly” on April 15, condemned the puppet authorities for blocking the tour of Mt. Kumgang and escalating the confrontation with the north.
Speakers at the press conference held that the tour of Mt. Kumgang was driven into a catastrophe mainly because the authorities have insisted on what they called “three conditions” for the resumption of the tour.

Such situation was created despite the necessary steps taken by the north side on various occasions, an indication that the authorities are interested only in blocking the tour, they charged.

The authorities had better take positive steps for rolling back their policy of confrontation with the north, though belatedly, they urged.
